It's me! My name is Henrique Sousa, I am 23 years old, and I am a Software Engineer with a Master's degree in Robotics and Intelligent Systems. I am from São Miguel, Azores, and my first contact with programming was in 2019 when I took IT Applications classes in my 12th grade at Secundária Domingos Rebelo. At the time, I took the bus to school and felt there was a great lack of information about public transportation schedules. That's when I decided to create an app that displayed the schedules of all the buses on the island. São Miguel Bus was my first publicly available project and what made me fall in love with solving problems with the help of technology. In 2019, I joined the Computer Engineering course at the University of Aveiro and had the opportunity to work with a research team from the Telecommunications Institute as a student-researcher. In 2022, after finishing my degree, I was accepted into the Master's program in Robotics and Intelligent Systems at the same university, where I was able to work with robots and learn to develop Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning algorithms. Now in 2024, while finishing my Master's dissertation, I decided to start developing software to solve problems and make people's lives easier with the help of technology.
